Third teen charged after Dandenong North aggravated carjacking

Southern Metro Region Crime Team detectives have charged another teenager following an aggravated carjacking in Dandenong North over the weekend.

A 17-year-old boy from northwest, country Victoria was arrested this morning in relation to the incident which occurred on Saturday 29 October in the vicinity of a service station on Stud Road at approximately 10pm.

The 17-year-old has been charged with aggravated carjacking, intentionally cause injury, recklessly cause injury, affray, and commit an indicatable offence while on bail.

He has been remanded to appear before a children's court at a later date.

The arrest is the third in relation to the alleged aggravated carjacking following the arrest of a second 17-year-old and a 15-year-old earlier in the week.

The second 17-year-old boy was charged with aggravated carjacking, theft of motor vehicle, intentionally and recklessly cause injury, assault in company and assault with a weapon, while the 15-year-old boy was charged with aggravated carjacking, theft of motor vehicle, affray and assault with a weapon.

Both were remanded to appear before a children's court at a later date.
