Thousands of dollars in damage after vehicle driven into Forest Lake shopping centre during early morning burglary

Acacia Ridge detectives investigating the early morning break-in at a Forest Lake shopping centre have released images of a white car used by two men who fled the scene leaving tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage after they’d earlier driven a station wagon through the front entry doors.

Around 1.50am today a stolen Toyota Kluger was driven at speed through the glass front doors of the Forest Lake Shopping Village, Forest Lake Boulevard, before being driven drown the main thoroughfare, further damaging shops and displays.

Two men then smashed their way into a jewellery store, damaging display cabinets before stealing a large quantity of jewellery.

The pair fled in a white Dodge Calibre (pictured) which was parked outside.

CCTV images of the two men have also been released (attached).

Police are appealing for anyone with information which could assist with this investigation to contact them.
