Three arrested in stolen car near Ballarat

Police have arrested three people in an alleged stolen vehicle in Ballarat this morning, Victoria Police say.

Ballarat police attempted to intercept a stolen white Holden utility on Grant Street in Sebastopol just after midnight.

The vehicle failed to stop and was monitored by police across the Ballarat area.

The offenders were also involved in an attempted carjacking on Remembrance Drive in Alfredton just before 4am.

A short pursuit was initiated.

A short time later two males and a female were arrested after the vehicle crashed into a fence and property on Webb Road in Bonshaw about 4am.

A 28-year-old Sebastopol man was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

A 17-year-old male and a 24-year-old woman, both from Ballarat, are currently in custody.
