Three charged after police called to move on large group in Sydney

Three people have been charged after police were called to move on a large group outside a venue in Sydney’s CBD overnight, NSW Police say.

Just before 2.30am (Saturday 22 September 2018), officers from Surry Hills Police Area Command were called to Oxford Street after a large number of patrons congregated outside a venue.

The group had attended a ticketed event inside the venue.

Two men were arrested by police after they were seen allegedly kicking a glass window.

The men, aged 30 and 18, were taken to Surry Hills Police Station where they were charged with behave in offensive manner in / near public place.

A short time after the initial incident, another member of the group was arrested at a nearby fast food restaurant.

It’s alleged the man confronted and threatened another patron inside the restaurant.

The 44-year-old was taken to Surry Hills Police Station where he was charged with stalk/intimidation intend fear physical harm.

All three were given bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on 25 October 2018.
