Three charged following series of burglaries in Melbourne's North West

Moonee Valley Crime Investigation Unit detectives arrested three men following a series of alleged burglaries and thefts in Melbourne’s north-west last month, Victoria Police say.

It’s alleged a number of burglaries, theft of motor vehicles and theft related incidents occurred in Moonee Ponds and Essendon from 18 November.

A 27-year-old Craigieburn man has been charged with more than 20 offences including burglary, theft of motor car and deceptions.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Heidelberg Magistrates’ Court on 18 December.

A 28-year-old Meadow Heights man has been charged with 45 offences including burglary, theft of motor car and deceptions.

He appeared at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.

Detectives executed warrants at addresses in Essendon and Craigieburn yesterday and arrested a 28-year-old Craigieburn man.

He is currently under hospital guard with a pre-existing condition.

The man is expected to be interviewed at a later date.
