Three men will face court charged over an alleged armed robbery in the state's north last month.
About 3.20pm, Sunday 26 April 2026, police attended a business on River Street, Woolgoolga, following reports of an armed robbery.
Officers from Coffs Clarence Police District attended and were told three men – one allegedly armed with a handgun – entered the business and threatened a 21-year-old female employee before taking cigarettes and cash and leaving the scene.
The woman was not injured.
A crime scene was established and an investigation commenced.
Following inquiries, about 2pm yesterday (Thursday 7 May 2026) detectives from Coffs/Clarence Police District, with the assistance of officers from Coffs Region Enforcement Squad, Proactive Crime Team and Crime Prevention Unit, executed three simultaneous search warrants at addresses in Corindi Beach, Toormina and New Lambton Heights.
During the search warrants, police allegedly located and seized proceeds from the armed robbery, drugs and numerous electronic devices.
At the Corindi Beach address, police arrested a 19-year-old man.
He was taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station and charged with robbery while armed with dangerous weapon, acquire etc pistol-subject to firearms prohibition order, possess prohibited drug and breach of bail.
At the Toormina address, police arrested a 20-year-old man.
He was taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station and charged with robbery while armed with dangerous weapon.
At the New Lambton Heights address, police from Newcastle City Police District arrested a 20-year-old man.
He was taken to Waratah Police Station and charged with robbery while armed with dangerous weapon, possess unregistered unauthorised pistol in public place, carry firearm manner likely injure person/property and not keep firearm safely-pistol.
All three were refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 6 today (Friday 8 May 2026).
