Three injured after boat and jet ski crash in Illawong

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a jet ski and boat crash in Sydney’s south this morning, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to Georges River, Illawong, about 9.30am (Saturday 20 October 2018), after reports a boat and jet ski collided.

The skipper of the boat, a 21-year-old man, was treated at the scene before being taken to St George Hospital in a critical condition, where he remains.

A 24-year-old man, who was in the boat, was taken to St George Hospital with minor injuries.

The rider of the jet ski, a 45-year-old man, was also taken St George Hospital with serious injuries.

The men will undergo mandatory testing at hospital.

Officers from Sutherland Shire Police Area Command were in attendance, with Marine Area Command officers conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
