Detectives are investigating after three people were seriously injured following a house fire in Chadstone last night.
Emergency services were called to reports of the blaze at a two-storey address on Terrigal Street about 9.40pm.
A 37-year-old woman and two primary-school aged girls were evacuated from the residence and taken to hospital.
The girls remain in a critical condition while the woman is in a serious condition.
Investigators are currently speaking with the fourth occupant from the home, a 36-year-old man.
At this stage in the investigation, the fire is being treated as suspicious.
A crime scene has been established and an arson chemist is on scene.
At this early stage in the investigation, detectives are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fire remains ongoing.
