Three injured in crash at Parafield Gardens, South Australia

Three people were taken to hospital after a single car crash at Parafield Gardens overnight.

Police and emergency services were called to the intersection of Kings Road and Andrew Smith Drive, Parafield Gardens just after 11.30pm after a car hit a tree.

The driver, a 25-year-old woman, and a rear male passenger were taken to the Lyell McEwin Hospital with minor injuries.

The front passenger, a 35-year-old woman, was the most seriously hurt. She was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where she has undergone surgery overnight. Her condition is not believed to be life-threatening.

The car was towed from the scene and the road reopened overnight.

Investigations into the crash are continuing.
