Three men charged over alleged ticket fraud offences, NSW

Three men have been charged with fraud offences after a number of alleged fake music dance party tickets were sold in the Surry Hills area, NSW Police say.

Yesterday, today, officers attached to Surry Hills Local Area Command were contacted following reports of a number of fraudulent dance party tickets were being sold for an event on Saturday 23 April 2016 at the Sydney Showgrounds.

Following inquiries, last night, police arrested three men on Fitzroy Street, Surry Hills.

The three 18-year-olds were taken to Surry Hills Police Station.

All three men were charged with:

- Knowingly derive material benefit from criminal group;

- Publish misleading material to obtain property;

- Dishonestly obtain property by deception;

- Deal with property suspected proceeds of crime; and,

- Two counts of goods in personal custody suspected of being stolen.

The trio was refused bail, to appear at Central Local Court today tomorrow.

Investigations continue.
