Police will be holding three prohibited firearms and parts collection events in Christchurch this weekend.
They will be held on Saturday 12 October, Sunday 13 October and Monday 14 October at the Caledonian Society, 5 Michelle Road, in Wigram.
On Saturday and Sunday the events will be from 10am-2pm, and Monday from 2pm-6pm.
The amnesty and buy-back ends on 20 December 2019 and people will only be eligible for compensation if they surrender their firearms during that period.
Police are encouraging people to hand-in their firearms now before it's too late.
