Three Youths Arrested for Claremont Robbery

Three youths have been charged with attempted aggravated robbery and other offences following an incident at the Ampol Service Station in Claremont at about 11.10pm last night.

The youths aged between 13 and 15 years entered the store and attempted to steal items before being confronted by staff and members of the public.

Windows and doors are alleged to have been smashed with a hammer during the incident.

Police located and arrested the youths nearby a short time later and they will be appearing in an out of hours court session later today.

Thankfully no one was physically injured in the incident.

Inspector Gary Williams said that crimes and offences involving any weapons are taken very seriously and will not be tolerated by police.
