It is now time to connect and support each other more than ever as we celebrate Neighbour Day on Sunday 28 March.
Neighbour Day is Australia's yearly celebration of community, encouraging people to connect with those who live in their neighbourhood.
Residents are encouraged to visit Council's website and download a 'Hey Neighbour' card, print it off jot down your details before popping it into your neighbours' mailbox to check in.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli, said it was important to touch base with other community members as we continue to live through the pandemic.
"Neighbour Day last year was a great chance for our community to support each other as we lived with social distancing measures in place and we saw some fantastic results," Cr Fedeli said.
"Although we are in a much better position currently, it is still important to be there for one another and being there for your neighbour is a great way to show your compassion.
"There are many ways our community can still work together and show our true Camden spirit and I encourage everyone to continue being there for one another not only on Neighbour Day this Sunday, but also throughout the year."
Residents are reminded to remain aware of NSW Health advice and only take part in neighbourly actions that are COVID safe, as per Relationships Australia, who manages Neighbour Day.
