Tinderry Road project update

Council would like to inform the community that work on the Tinderry Road upgrade project will break for the holidays from Wednesday 22 December to Monday 10 January 2022.

Throughout this period traffic control measures will remain in place, ensuring the safety of those travelling along Tinderry Road. Please remember to drive to the conditions.

Snowy Monaro Regional Council is delivering a $1M upgrade to approximately three kilometres of Tinderry Road from the connection with Burra Road, thanks to funding secured under round one of the NSW State Government's Fixing Local Roads funding.

Material excavated during the upgrade will be re-used to improve the road surface over an additional three kilometres of Tinderry Road.

Following the completion of the upgrade, Council will be doing further work to address the shoulder cracking problems further along Tinderry Mountain at the location known as Governors Bend.
