Tips for staying COVID safe this Ramadan

Ramadan is fast approaching, and there are a few things you can do to stay COVID safe in the holy month of fasting, spiritual reflection and worship.

  1. Get your booster dose before Ramadan begins. You're eligible 3 months after your second dose, and there are a number of pop up clinics across Moreland you can go to without an appointment. Check the closest site to you at www.moreland.vic.gov.au/my-council/covid-19/vaccinations/
  2. If you're feeling unwell, cancel any Iftar plans you have with people outside your household. Get tested immediately.
  3. If you are hosting Iftar dinner, open a window for ventilation or consider hosting outdoors.
  4. Encourage family members who are vaccine hesitant to speak to their GP. Ask them if they have considered Novavax. Offer to go with them if this will help them.
  5. Download and print our Moreland City Council Ramadan Calendar to keep track of your Iftar plans and have these handy tips in sight.

Wishing our Muslim community members a happy, healthy and safe month of Ramadan.
