National Child Protection Week runs from 4 to 10 September 2016 and is a timely reminder that protecting children is everyone’s business.
Midland Detectives have arrested a 73 year old Forrestfield man as a result of their investigation into historic child abuse allegations, WA Police say.
It will be alleged between 1979 and 1986, the man indecently assaulted a girl who was known to him. The girl was three years old at the time of the first offence.
The incidents took place in the Tom Price area and police encourage anyone who is or has been the victim of child sexual abuse; or who has information about someone being abused, to contact police on 131 444.
The man has been charged with 24 counts of Indecent Dealing of a Child under 14 years of age and he is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on Friday, 9 September 2016.
