You are invited to the Official Opening of the new Playground within Tony Onions Park in Marulan at 72 George Street, on Thursday 27 April 2023. The opening will commence at 2pm with a plaque unveiling and speeches.
All of the existing playground equipment has been removed, and a two-metre-wide entry path now leads to a world of entertainment featuring new swings, round-abouts, nature trails, a climbing frame and at the centre the impressive KliX Tree Tops combination slide tower.
For those seeking more fitness than play, further along the path you will discover the challenging KliX Ninja obstacle course.
Shade is provided by a combination of mature trees that cover a large section of the main play area and nature trail with a shade sail is positioned over the swing set.
A sandstone wall provides an abundance of informal seating complimenting the formal seating scattered throughout the design.
New plants will round out this exciting new addition to the Marulan township.
Special attention has been given to layout, signage, accessibility, and equipment that challenge and engage play opportunities.
This project is funded by the State Government's Everyone Can Play Grant and Goulburn Mulwaree Council.
