Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews are on scene at a large grass fire burning near Dalrymple Drive, Toolooa. Firefighters will be backburning near Dalrymple Drive throughout the evening in an effort to contain the blaze. Local traffic restrictions may be in place. Heavy smoke is affecting Toolooa and surrounding areas, including Telina, Sun Valley and Kin Kora. Residents should close windows and doors, and keep respiratory medications close by if required. Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions. If you feel your property is under threat, call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
