Hola Health, a leading local health tech start-up providing telehealth and online script fulfillment services to a growing number of Australians, has been named in the top 5 fastest-growing new companies in the country in a prestigious annual list.
The Australian Financial Review's Fast Starters list recognises Australia's 100 fastest-growing start-ups and young companies. It shows Hola Health grew revenue from around $100,000 in 2020/21 to $3.8 million last financial year. It is on track to exceed $10 million in revenue by the end of this financial year.
In naming Hola Health at number five on the list, the AFR hailed the Perth company as the "standout performer in the health industry category" of the awards.
Hola Health CEO Lenin Rajendran said the listing recognised the deep inroads Hola Health had made into the Australian market over recent years with its innovative online healthcare platform.
"For us, it's really a mission focused on healthcare accessibility," said Mr Rajendran.
"With close to half of all Australian patients seeing a GP for urgent care forced to wait 24 hours or more for treatment, Hola Health provides a simple solution to ensure all Australians can receive timely, quality healthcare."
Hola Health was started in Perth in 2020 by Chennai-born Lenin and brother Thiru along with their family by GP and owner of Western Australia's largest primary healthcare group Spectrum Health, Dr Vishnu Gopalan as Chief Medical Officer, in developing the business.
Three years and 250,000 patients later, Hola Health has grown into a thriving platform, seamlessly connecting patients, pharmacies and doctors, irrespective of place or time.
Lenin Rajendran said Hola Health was thrilled to have been recognised as one of the nation's fastest-growing start-ups, with a growing list of services, including the recent addition of bulk-billed online consultations providing Mental Health Treatment Plans.

The Fast Starters list recognises the growth in new, standalone Australian companies. It is ranked by Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of revenue over three years.
