- 2026 program includes iconic events like Muster Rodeo, Corroboree Under the Stars, and Kimberley Moon Experience
- Event forms part of the Cook Government's economic diversification strategy by attracting out-of-state visitors, generating local jobs and valuable tourism dollars
Ord Valley Muster has unveiled its 2026 program, promising 10 days of music, art, culture, and adventure in Western Australia's stunning East Kimberley region.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the event will take place from 15 to 24 May 2026, with the annual festival now a cornerstone of WA's regional events calendar, drawing thousands of visitors to Kununurra each year and injecting millions of dollars into the local economy.
Proudly supported by the WA Labor Government since 2017, the event consistently draws visitors to explore the East Kimberley region, with close to 1,500 out-of-region visitors attending in 2024.
The 2026 program promises the return of the popular Muster Rodeo, Corroboree Under the Stars, and Comedy in the Park, as well as an array of new events and experiences in store.
Across the 10 days, visitors can immerse themselves in a diverse program, from Colours of Country and textile workshops at Waringarri Aboriginal Arts, to the guided journey of Stories, Stars and Serenity, and Bush Botanicals women's 4WD overnight journey, which is new to the program in 2026.
The festival culminates in the iconic Kimberley Moon Experience on Saturday, 23 May, a spectacular open-air concert on the banks of the Ord River.
Adding to the evening is the Kimberley Fine Diamonds Dinner, a black-tie event offering gourmet dining, premium wines, and exclusive access to the concert under the stars.
Held annually in May, the Ord Valley Muster provides a time-specific reason for travellers to explore the vast Kimberley region during the dry season.
Itis one of the many vibrant regional events that are part of the Cook Government's economic diversification strategy of building a year-round calendar of events that generate valuable tourism dollars, supporting local jobs and businesses.
