Traffic Crash And Drug Possession Charge, Fraser Coast

A man has been charged following a two-vehicle traffic crash in Susan River last night, 3 July.

Emergency services were called to Maryborough Hervey Bay Road around 9.11pm, following reports of a crash involving a white Hyundai Tucson and black Ford Ranger.

Upon police arrival, the driver of the Honda, a 43-year-old Maryborough man, was allegedly found to be in possession of methylamphetamine.

He was transported to Maryborough Hospital with minor injuries under police guard.

The man has since been charged with one count of possessing dangerous drugs and is due to appear in Caloundra Magistrates Court, today.

The driver of the Ford, a 23-year-old Eli Waters man, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was also transported to Maryborough Hospital.

Investigations remain ongoing.
