Stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic on her morning commute through Mooloolaba, a local woman's day did a full U-turn when she received the jaw-dropping news she'd just won $1 million in Weekday Windfall.
The Sunshine Coast resident held the only division one winning entry nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4570, drawn Wednesday 9 July 2025. She looks forward to $1 million.
"I'm just stuck in traffic. I'm going to have to pull over!" she revealed when we called to reveal the life-enhancing news.
"Far out! You're joking!
"I'm shocked! Oh my god!
"I don't believe it! I'm sorry, I'm completely lost for words.
"I have played for years and years and never thought this would ever happen to me.
"I'm trying to process it, and I can't. Oh my god!
"It's going to be hard to concentrate at work today. Far out!
"I'm going to have to visit the newsagency to make it more believable.
"I'm not too sure what to say."
With $1 million on the way, the happy Queenslander outlined her plans for the prize, starting with trimming down the mortgage and treating herself to a much-needed getaway.
"I'd have to sit down and have a long think about what I'll do with the prize but maybe I can look to pay off the mortgage and go on a holiday!" she revealed.
"Thank you very much! I'm still so shocked."
Her winning marked 12-game entry was purchased at Yandina Newsagency, Shop 3/2 Old Gympie Road, QLD, Yandina.
