The events in Christchurch are tragic and our thoughts are with those affected by these acts of terror.
In Western Australia we enjoy a diverse and harmonious community and we are united in condemning this attack. WA Police Force is working closely with national and international stakeholders, and local community groups, as investigations into this tragedy continue. Officers are today reaching out to local communities to engage and support them.

The threat level in Australia remains unchanged at probable, however, we urge all community members – including our own officers – to be mindful of their surroundings including suspicious activity, unattended packages or activities that seem out of place.
