Police and emergency services are responding to a train crash at the intersection of Albany Highway and The Crescent, in Maddington.
About 5:00am today (Thursday 17 December 2020) a passenger train, with no passengers on board at the time, struck a vehicle that was parked on the train line near the railway crossing point. There was no person in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
It is expected the railway crossing will blocked for an extended period of time and motorists are advised to consider alternative routes or expect extended delays.
