Transurban has launched its 2025 Community Grants Program, offering grants of up to $10,000 to support grassroots initiatives that make a meaningful impact in communities near its roads in Greater Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane.
The program funds projects that promote road safety, financial inclusion, environmental sustainability, STEM education, and First Nations-led initiatives. Funding is available for initiatives of all sizes - from small local efforts to larger-scale programs.
Transurban Director of Social Licence Gabby Sundstrum said local organisations know what their communities need most and encouraged all eligible groups to apply.
"Through our Community Grants program, we're proud to support a wide range of initiatives - all working to make a difference in their communities," said Gabby Sundstrum.
"These grants are a way for us to give back by supporting the incredible work already underway in these neighbourhoods."
Applications are open until 30 September 2025. Organisations must be registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and located within an eligible Local Government Areas.
Successful applicants will also be eligible for the People's Choice Award, with public voting in late October.
"The People's Choice Award lets communities champion the initiatives they care about most," said Gabby.
