Trident arrest two for drug, property and weapons offences

Officers from Strike Force Trident have arrested two women for drug, property and weapons offences.

Police located a stolen vehicle in the front yard of a Leanyer address on Tuesday 2 April 2019. A search warrant was executed at the location to locate the keys to the vehicle.

During the search police also located:

• a traffickable quantity of methamphetamine

• $9910 Australian currency

• a less than traffickable quantity of cannabis

• a torch fitted with an electro muscular control device

• a quantity of suspected stolen jewellery

Both women were arrested and remanded in custody to appear in Darwin Local Court today.

The 39-year-old woman was charged with:

• Possess schedule one traffickable quantity

• Receive or possess property, commission of an offence

• Supply schedule one traffickable quantity

• Possess, use or carry a prohibited weapon

• Possess thing to administer drug

• Stealing

The 41-year-old woman was charged with:

• Possess schedule one traffickable drug

• Receive or possess property, commission of an offence

• Supply schedule one traffickable quantity

• Stealing

• Drive motor vehicle while unlicensed
