Trio arrested in stolen car in Maribyrnong

Police have arrested two men and a woman for theft and drug offences after they were located in a stolen vehicle in Maribyrnong early yesterday morning, Victoria Police say.

Maribyrnong Crime Investigation Unit detectives located the trio in a stolen black Audi on Raleigh Road about 3am on 29 May.

Officers located a large quantity of Methyl amphetamine, butanediol, prescription drugs, power tools, cash and other goods believed to be stolen inside the sedan.

A 29-year-old man was charged with trafficking a drug of dependence, theft of motor vehicle and failing to answer bail.

The Pascoe Vale man fronted Melbourne Magistrates Court where he was further remanded.

A 22-year old woman was charged with theft of motor vehicle, theft from motor vehicle and committing an indictable offence whilst on bail.

The Aberfeldie woman was bailed to attend the Sunshine Magistrates Court on the 30 August.

A 30-year-old Maribyrnong man was released pending further enquiries.
