Trio charged with dangerous driving after hoon meets

Police have charged three men and seized two cars following an investigation into high-risk driving events in Melbourne southern suburbs.

A 21-year-old Cranbourne man was today charged with 54 offences relating to nine hoon events across the Cranbourne area over the past three years.

Charges include reckless conduct endangering life, possess MDMA and possession of an imitation firearm.

An 18-year-old Cranbourne man was also charged with 12 offences including reckless conduct endangering life and incitement.

Investigators yesterday charged a 20-year-old Cranbourne West man with 12 offences including conduct endangering life and conduct endangering serious injury.

All three men were bailed to appear at Frankston Magistrates' Court on 17 November.

As part of the investigation, three search warrants were executed in Narre Warren South, Cranbourne and Cranbourne West on Thursday.

Police seized two vehicles, both older Holden sedans, alleged to have been involved in the high-risk driving events.

The arrests are the result of a joint investigation between Cardinia Highway Patrol and Division Response Unit.
