Truck driver dies after crash on M7 - Prestons

A man has died after two trucks crashed in Sydney's south-west this morning.

Emergency services were called to the M7, near the Camden Walley Way off-ramp, at Prestons, about 6.30am (Wednesday 28 April 2021), after reports two trucks had collided.

The driver of a Mitsubishi table-top truck – laden with gas cylinders – was trapped in the wreckage and died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.

The driver of a Volvo prime mover, 30-year-old man, was taken to Liverpool Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
