A man has been charged with alleged high-range drink driving in the state's north.
About 8.20pm yesterday (Tuesday 29 April 2025), officers attached to Coffs/Clarence Police District were called to Big River Way, South Grafton, following reports of a truck swerving on the road.
Officers attended and found a B-Double truck driving dangerously and directed it to stop.
The driver – a 32-year-old man – was subjected to a roadside breath test which returned a positive result.
He was arrested and taken to Grafton Police Station where a secondary breath analysis returned a reading of 0.242.
He was issued a Court Attendance Notice for drive with high range prescribed concentration of alcohol and negligent driving and his licence was suspended.
He is due to appear before Grafton Local Court on Friday 23 June 2025.
