Truck driver facing court on 104 offences in Campbelltown

A Victorian truck driver has been charged with 104 offences relating to alleged irregularities in multiple work diaries., NSW Police say

At 11.25am Tuesday 6 March 2018, a man was stopped at a heavy vehicle inspection station being operated by South West Metropolitan Region Highway Patrol officers and Roads and Maritime Inspectors.

An inspection of his work diary revealed alleged inconsistencies in regard to its accuracy.

Police will allege a further three work diaries were found within the cabin. Inspections of these documents also revealed alleged anomalies.

The diaries have been seized by police.

Yesterday (Tuesday 13 November 2018), a 38-year-old Shepparton man was charged by way of a Future Court Attendance Notice.

He will appear in Campbelltown Local Court on 29 January 2019 to answer 104 charges:

• Make false or misleading entry in work record (30 counts)

• Driver not give information to record keeper as prescribed (one count - incorporating 61 offences).

• Solo driver rest less that Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) (six counts),

• Solo driver work more than BFM minimum time (four counts),

• Deface or change a work diary record (two counts),

• Driver possess more than one written work diary with unused pages (one count).
