Australia Post and StarTrack are recruiting more than 3,500 seasonal team members across metro and regional Australia as preparations ramp up for the busy holiday and online shopping period, with truck drivers and forklift operators among the most in-demand roles.
Seasonal opportunities are also available for parcel sorters, freight handlers and van drivers, to help keep parcels moving through the network and to customers across the country during Australia Post's busiest period of the year.
Applications are open now, with truck driver roles starting from early September and parcel processing, freight handling, van driving and forklift operator roles beginning from mid-October.
Australia Post Executive General Manager, People and Culture, Sue Davies said seasonal team members play an important role in helping the business deliver for customers during its busiest time of the year.
"Last year we delivered a record 111 million parcels in the lead up to Christmas and that wouldn't have been possible without the incredible people working hard across our network. As we prepare for another busy peak period, we're looking for people with a valid truck or forklift licence, as well as team members for our parcel processing facilities, where no previous experience is needed.
"Seasonal roles are a great way to earn extra income ahead of Christmas while working alongside a welcoming and supportive team. Whether you're behind the wheel, operating a forklift or helping sort parcels, every person plays a part in helping us deliver for customers and communities right across Australia.
"Many of our team members first joined Australia Post during this period and have gone on to build rewarding long-term careers with us. If you're looking for an opportunity to learn new skills, gain valuable experience and be part of a trusted Australian organisation, we'd love to hear from you," said Ms. Davies.
