Police have prevented a tragedy waiting to happen after they intercepted a prime mover in Truganina last night.
Officers intercepted the truck which was travelling south on Palmers Road after it was observed veering across the road just before 10.30pm
The driver, a 39-year-old Epping man, returned a positive evidentiary breath test of 0.203.
His license was immediately suspended, and he has been charged on summons with drink driving.
He will appear at Werribee Magistrates' Court on 16 December.
