The new professors at the University of Helsinki will present the latest research findings in their fields on Wednesday, 27 May from 14.30 to 16.30. The inaugural lectures will be held in the University's Main Building at Fabianinkatu 33. A livestream will also be available.

Following the lectures, Professor of Occupational Health Riitta Luoto will deliver her inaugural lecture at an inauguration ceremony starting at 17.00 in the University's Great Hall. Approximately one hour in length, the ceremony will close with a reception in the Main Building foyers.

The dress code for the audience at inaugural lectures of new professors is neat, everyday clothing. The evening reception requires the audience to wear attire appropriate for the dignified atmosphere. A staffed cloakroom is situated in Entrance Hall Aleksi, the Main Building's entrance lobby facing Aleksanterinkatu. On the first floor of the Main Building, Café Civis and Helsinki University Museum Flame will remain open to the public until 17.00.
