Tomsk State University is preparing for the arrival of students in the new academic year. To increase the level of comfort in dormitories, the university purchased furniture and linen for 9 million rubles. More than 4 million rubles were allocated for the maintenance of household appliances and plastic windows. In addition, 75 dorm rooms will be renovated by the end of August. Such works are carried out at the university annually before the start of the academic year.
Most of the funds to improve the living conditions in university dormitories were allocated to update things that students use daily. Six million rubles were spent on the purchase of bedding - mattresses, pillows, blankets, bedding sets, etc.
- Every year, certain things become unfit for use. Hence, we dispose it and purchase new equipment to ensure conformable conditions for students, - explains Andrey Markin, deputy director of the TSU campus.
3 million rubles were allocated for furniture - tables, chairs and bedside tables. The Mayak dormitory, where the number of rooms increased significantly, now has new equipment. More than 4 million rubles were allocated for service maintenance of household appliances and plastic windows.

Andrey Markin noted that students living in the dormitory can contact the administration with any household problem or leave a request in a special application so that a specialist comes and promptly helps to fix the problem.
- A team of 60 employees is responsible for the daily maintenance of TSU dormitories. Each dormitory has a variety of workers ensuring the daily comfort of its students. If necessary, we invite contractors for certain works, - says Andrey Markin. - Besides, we have the TSU.Helper , where a student can apply with any problem: broken furniture, stove disorder, the Internet problem, and so on.
