Two aggravated break-ins at Largs North, South Australia

Police are investigating if two break-ins at Largs North where two cars were stolen this morning are connected.

Just after 2am on Friday 19 July, police were called to Kuranye Cicruit after a suspect broke into a home and stole the family car.

The suspect entered the home with six people inside and after rummaging through the house stole a white Holden Captiva.

Police quickly cordoned the area and with the assistance of PD Zac tracked a scent and spotted the stolen car. Patrols gave chase but the car evaded them and was located a short time later dumped on Dover Terrace.

Just before 4.20am, police were then called to a house in Lady Gowrie Drive after reports a person was breaking into a house.

There was one person in the house at the time but there are no reports of any physical injuries.

On arrival police found that a Toyota station wagon had been stolen from the property and that the driver had struck a post upon reversing from the property.

At 4.50am, patrols located the vehicle on Paluma Street in Largs North.

Both vehicles were towed for forensic examination.

Police are investigating if the two incidents are linked and are appealing or anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
