Police have charged two people after an intercept of a vehicle in Ferntree Gully on Monday night which netted a significant quantity of drugs and cash, Victoria Police say.
Rowville uniform police noticed the car parked near a gaming venue on Burwood Highway about 11.55pm.
The male driver of the car got out and started walking towards the venue.
Officers spoke to the man and his behavior led them to conduct a search of his car.
The search of the car uncovered a significant quantity of drugs, believed to be ice, and a large quantity of cash.
A 22-year-old man from Fitzroy North and a 31-year-old woman from Berwick were arrested and charged with trafficking drug of dependence, possess drug of dependence and possess proceeds of crime.
The woman was bailed to appear at Ringwood Magistrates’ Court on 20 September and the man bailed to appear at Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court on 21 April.
