Two charged following robbery in Liverpool

Two people have been charged after a man was robbed in Liverpool yesterday., NSW Police say

About 8pm yesterday, police have been told that a man attended a unit block on Charles Street, Liverpool for a pre –arranged meeting with a woman he met through an online dating application.

Police will allege that the woman lead the victim into the unit block, where he was confronted by a man armed with a crow bar.

The man allegedly threatened the victim, before stealing his wallet and phone.

The victim left the scene and contacted police. He was not injured during the incident.

Officers from Liverpool Local Area Command commenced an investigation.

About 11pm, as a result of inquiries, police attended a fast food restaurant on Atkinson Street, Liverpool and arrested a 21-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man.

The pair was taken to Liverpool Police Station and charged with armed robbery.

The 21-year-old woman and the 27-year-old man were refused bail to appear before Parramatta Bail Court today (8 October 2016).
