Armed Crime Squad detectives have charged two men following an aggravated home invasion in St Albans early this morning.
Police were called to the Fox Street address shortly after 1.10am on Tuesday, 10 June following reports a number of people had gained access to a property and discharged a firearm.
A search of the area was conducted and two men were subsequently arrested.
A firearm was also located and seized by investigators.
A 55-year-old Craigieburn man has been charged with home invasion while in possession of firearm, home invasion, prohibited persons possess Category E handgun, person subject to Firearm Prohibition Order possess firearm, use firearm during commission of serious indictable offence and possess dug of dependence.
He will face Melbourne Magistrates' Court this evening.
A 29-year-old Altona Meadows man has been charged with possess drug of dependence and bailed to appear at Sunshine Magistrates' Court on 8 October.
None of the seven people inside the property at the time were physically injured and police believe the incident was targeted.
