Two charged over break and enters in Narromine

Two men have been charged over separate break and enters in Narromine, NSW Police say.

About 8am on Monday (14 May 2018), a 49-year-old woman was in her home on Peak Hill Road, Narromine, when two men broke into the home.

The woman confronted the men in the hallway, causing them to run from the scene, before entering a vehicle and driving away.

Police from Orana Mid Western Police District attended and commenced inquiries.

As a result of inquiries, about 6.40pm yesterday (Wednesday 16 May 2018), police arrested a 29-year-old man after a foot pursuit on High Street, Dubbo.

He was taken to Dubbo Police Station and charged with aggravated break, enter and steal, as well as two counts of enter enclosed lands and one count of malicious damage.

He was refused bail to appear and Dubbo Local Court today, where he was remanded in custody to reappear on Wednesday 11 July 2018 (Thursday 17 May 2018).

In a separate incident, between 8am and 4.45pm on Tuesday (15 May 2018), a rural property on Tomingley Road, Narromine, was broken into, with numerous items of property and a rifle being stolen.

Officers from Orana Mid Western general duties, TAG and detectives commenced inquiries.

About 10.45am today (Thursday 17 May 2018), a 27-year-old man was arrested at a home on Carling Circuit, Dubbo.

He was taken to Dubbo Police Station and charged with break, enter and steal, receiving stolen property, breach of bail, and an unrelated arrest warrant was executed.

He was refused bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court tomorrow (Friday 18 May 2018).

The firearm has not yet been recovered and inquiries continue into this incident and other offences in Narromine.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
