Two East Coast men charged over Mowbray arson, TAS

Two East Coast men have been charged over an arson at a Mowbray property on Wednesday 6 June, Tasmania Police say.

Police allege the two men set fire to an unoccupied dwelling at Vermont Road Mowbray, which resulted in significant damage.

As a result of investigations, Northern CIB travelled to St Helens on Thursday 7 June 2018, where two men were arrested and conveyed to Launceston where they have been formally interviewed and charged with Arson.

A 20 year old man and a 23 year old man, both from Scamander, are to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court at 11.30am.
