Two injured after being struck by car, NSW

Two men have been taken to hospital, one man in a serious condition, after being struck by a car at Mt Druitt yesterday, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to Hythe Street, near Luxford Road, about 7.50pm (Tuesday 1 May 2018), after reports a Toyota Hilux struck two pedestrians.

The driver of the Toyota, a 49-year-old man, stopped and rendered assistance to the injured pedestrians, two men, aged 30 and 58.

They were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before the 58-year-old man was taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The 30-year-old man was also taken to Westmead Hospital with minor injuries.

The driver was uninjured.

The road was closed for several hours while officers from Mt Druitt Police Area Command examined the scene.

Inquiries into the incident are continuing and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
