Two men assaulted on North Coast, NSW

Two men have been assaulted and a man is in hospital under police guard after an incident on the state’s North Coast this morning, NSW Police say.

Just after 4am today, police were called to Fiddaman Road, Emerald Beach, following reports of an assault.

Officers from Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command attended and found a 29-year-old man had been stabbed and a 38-year-old man had been assaulted.

A 38-year-old man and a 29-year-old man were taken to Coffs Harbour Hospital with non-life threatening head injuries and have since been released.

A 23-year-old man was arrested and taken to hospital under police guard. He is being treated for facial injuries.

Inquiries are continuing.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
