Two men have been arrested after they allegedly broke into two homes yesterday at Glenelg North and Fulham.

Just before 3pm on Tuesday 24 March, a Glenelg North resident contacted police after he heard noises outside his home and then the power went out. Seconds later he heard a smashing sound and went to investigate, only to discover two men inside his house. He challenged the two men who ran off and jumped into a small white car.

About an hour later a resident at Fulham contacted police after they she went downstairs to discovered two men in the front of her house. The men ran off but were seen by a neighbour seen to jump in a white Toyota Corolla sedan.

A patrols checked the area but couldn't locate the car. About 20 minutes later the suspect car with two men inside was spotted by patrols in the Norwood area coming to stop in a car-park off The Parade.

Eastern District patrols converged on the area and arrested the two men without incident.

The 41-year-old man from Woodville South and a 29-year-old man from Burton were both arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated serious criminal trespass. They have been refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.
