A further two teenagers have been charged after a teenage boy was allegedly stabbed in a home invasion on Wednesday.
Just before 5pm on Wednesday 16 April 2025, emergency services were called to Frazer Street, Marrickville, following reports of an aggravated break and enter.
Officers from Inner West Police Area Command were told about eight people wearing face coverings forced entry to a house and assaulted a 16-year-old boy inside the premises.
The teen sustained a number of stab wounds. He was treated at the scene by Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to hospital for further treatment.
Police were told the eight people left prior to police arrival.
A crime scene was established, and police commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Following inquiries, police arrested two 15-year-old boys nearby. They were taken to Newtown Police Station and charged. They remain before the Courts.
Strike Force Bacchus, comprising detectives from the Inner West Police Area Command, was formed to investigate the incident.
Following inquiries, a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy were arrested at Newtown Police Station yesterday (Thursday 17 April 2025).
The 15-year-old boy was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, affray, trespass and participate in criminal group and contribute criminal activity.
He was refused bail to appear in a childrens court later today (Friday 18 April 2025).
The 16-year-old boy was charged with affray, trespass and participate in criminal group and contribute criminal activity.
He was granted conditional bail to appear before a childrens court on Monday 12 May 2025.
Inquiries under Strike Force Bacchus continue and further arrests are anticipated.
