Two teens sexually assaulted; man charged in Katoomba

A man will face court today following the alleged sexual assault of two teenagers in the Blue Mountains, NSW Police say.

About 11.35am on Sunday (2 December 2018), police have been told that a man sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl as she alighted from a train at Katoomba Railway Station.

She reported the matter to police immediately after the incident.

Yesterday (Thursday 6 December 2018), about 1.35pm, a 14-year-old girl was waiting for a friend at a business on Great Western Highway, Katoomba, when she was approached by a man.

Police will allege the man sexually assaulted the girl, before leaving the location on foot.

The girl reported the incident to the business, who notified police.

Following inquiries, officers from Blue Mountains Police District arrested a 67-year-old man nearby.

He was taken to Katoomba Police Station where he was charged with sexually touch another person without consent (x4).

The man was refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court today.
