Ella Hayward and Tahlia Meier have been named in the Australian Women's Indigenous Squad, heading to Papua New Guinea next week as part of the inaugural PacificAus Sports Cricket Invitational T20 Tournament.
The T20 tournament is supported through the Australian Government's PacificAus Sports program, which creates opportunities for Pacific athletes, coaches, officials and administrators to access high performance training and elite competition.
The Invitational will feature the Australian Women's Indigenous team alongside teams from Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu and Samoa.
The Invitational is being played in Papua New Guinea as part of the celebration of the nation's 50th anniversary of independence.
Ella will join Mikayla Hinkley as vice-captains of the Australian squad, with Christina Coulson leading the side.
Tahlia's inclusion in the Australian squad comes off the back of a successful National Indigenous Cricket Championships, with both Victorian Men's & Women's Indigenous squads proudly supported by the Cricket Victoria Foundation.
