UK Redesigns Market Conformity Assessment Bodies Service

The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has launched the new, redesigned UK Market Conformity Assessment Bodies (UKMCAB) service to the public, marking its first major upgrade since its launch in March 2019 following EU Exit. The improved site allows UK businesses to access a UK government-appointed conformity assessment bodies (CABs) register. CABs can certify goods for both Great Britain and Northern Ireland markets.

Since the original site went live, OPSS has enhanced the site's functionality and appearance. A key new feature is a new administrative area that offers efficient service management and quicker updates across departments, organisations, and countries.

Further improvements are planned throughout 2023/24.

All UKMCAB service updates will be communicated through OPSS social media channels and the service's release and updates page. A dedicated 'help' section has also been created to answer user questions. Contact the service team at
