Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Dr. Colin Kahl hosted Norwegian State Secretary Bent-Joacim Bentzen.
The leaders discussed their shared concerns over the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and reaffirmed their commitment to efforts to help Ukraine defend its sovereignty and hold Russia accountable. They also committed to deepen the long-standing defense relationship between the United States and Norway to address shared security challenges in Europe and the Arctic. Under Secretary Kahl applauded Norway's contributions to NATO defense and support to Ukraine's security. The leaders underscored the importance of transatlantic unity.
