UNIDO'S Learning and Knowledge development facility celebrates 10 years of support to youth

UNIDO

- To celebrate its 10th anniversary, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization's (UNIDO) Learning and Knowledge Development Facility (LKDF) unveiled a new logo and brand identity to reflect the platform's commitment to improving industrial skills development among the youth in emerging economies.

"The Learning and Knowledge Development Facility is an important UNIDO platform that brings together partners who share the same goal of driving systemic change through skills development", said UNIDO Director General Gerd Müller. "As the LKDF - a catalyst for investments in skills and vocational training - celebrates its 10th anniversary, we also celebrate a decade of contributions to the lives of young people in developing countries and emerging economies".

The LKDF's new look emphasizes the platform's mission to economically and socially ascend the global workforce, and thus to ultimately contribute to systemic change. Through a modern and youthful look, the new identity and logo aspire to better represent the LKDF's work and its ultimate beneficiaries - young people.

Since 2012, the LKDF has been striving to anticipate market demands through industrial skills development to strengthen local vocational training centres and to address the skills-gap. To do so, the facility fosters global partnerships among stakeholders from the private, public, and development sector.
